left a YouTube comment. I doubt it will matter: "I grew up in Vegas and
I have a degree in economics from UNLV, and I'm still thinking this is
BS. I might be wrong, but this reminds me of Bill Burr making fun of
statisticians for saying most shark attacks happen near the beach:
that's where all of the people usually are--it doesn't mean that you're
safer swimming out in the middle of the ocean. Keep it simple, stupid.
This isn't Schrödinger's cat. I haven't looked into this too deeply, but
everyone seems mystified by the 100-door comparison. It's a logical
fallacy to add more doors to the scenario in order to illustrate any
sort of point regarding the 3-door game, because the more open goat
doors we throw into the equation, and the larger the set of doors there
are to begin with, the easier it will be for the player to use deductive
logic to figure out what remaining door contains the car if we open all
of the remaining doors (except the one with the car), but there won't
be any real benefit in doing so for the player until there are at least 4
doors involved in the game with TWO of the goat doors opened--and it
still doesn't change the game for the original 3-door scenario with only
ONE goat door opened. And this will vary even more once you throw 10
doors into the equation with eight goat doors opened. It isn't even a
linear function--the more open doors there are out of an entire set of
possibilities, it will become exponentially easier for the player to
make the right guess by the second round if ALL of the goat doors are
opened--save the one with the car and/or the original selection of the
player. If there are a million doors, and the host has to open up
999,998 of the goat doors before round 2--you get the picture. In a
3-door game, however, the player can't use any sort of deductive logic
to figure out which of the remaining two doors to pick: it's now simply a
50/50 chance. All we really know going into a 3-door game is that the
host will open a door with a goat and that we have a 50/50 chance that
we guessed the right one to begin with. Of course, I might be full of
BS, cuz I am a Taurean/King of Pentacles/King of Diamonds kind of dude,
but that's my theory and I'm sticking to it. ;) "

understand the Monty Hall problem now, and I made the following edit to
Wikipedia under the simple solutions section. Hopefully, my explanation
will stay up, because I personally found the other simple solutions to
be overly complicated. Here is what I wrote: "If the player originally
selects the door with the car, which they have a 1/3rd chance of doing,
they will lose by switching doors. However, if the player selects either
door with a goat inside, which they have a 2/3rd chance of doing, they
will thereafter win by switching doors, and this is because of the

actually sold a lot of my Victoria's Secret stock last year and was

used to talk a lot of smack when I went to baseball games as a kid. I
